Waterford students are serviced by the Fort LeBoeuf School District, with multiple elementary schools despite the smaller population. Having a smaller class of students benefited the school district, earning it positive remarks for its teachers. There are also several charter schools, like Perseus House in Erie, but those in public school will graduate through Fort Leboeuf Senior High School.
